LO2: Moodboard

Here is a moodpboard that refers to my target audience and what their interests would be in terms of the fashion genre based on experience and inexperienced people within the urban fashion world.

LO2: Target Audience

My fashion festival will be aimed at a target audience of both males and females between the ages of 18 and 30, this is due to the fact that my festival is designed in order to encourage the production of fashion products among young and experienced people. In terms of the demographic I am aiming my festival at I would say it is based at a ABC1 demographic, this is due to the fact that a ABC1 demographic contains people that usually have a higher disposable income and are able to afford the luxuries in life such as being able to afford to buy materials in order to produce the items for their clothing they would be designing.

LO2: Mindmap

Here are the forms of packaging I have used within my mind map. I believe for my products I will be creating: T-shirts, Hoodies and Poster. This is because I think these products best suit my brand of event and helps compliment the event.

In terms of the names I have thought of when mind mapping names I believe that Exclusive fashion would be the best name for my event. I believe this is because it has a kind of class to it that helps promote both the brand and the fashion genre. I also believe it stands out more to consumers and they will feel more interested when they denote the name of my company.

1- Adidas Fashion Campaign.

Purpose- I have come to an understanding that the campaign for the Adidas originals is set out to promote their urban fashion brand. The reason how I know this is due to the fact that a lot of their products contain a lot of casual urban wear that. They have also used famous characters such as A$AP Rocky for endorsements and to stretch their brand out further to a wider audience.

Format- In terms of the format I have noticed that Adidas have chosen to incorporate the product they're selling within their campaign, this is probably because they believe that if they show the audience the product they're promoting they would feel more and more interested in potentially purchasing it.

Content- Within this campaign I can denote a lot of natural colours such as pink, white and black. I can also denote that in terms of photography they have chosen to set their models in urban environments wearing the product they're trying to sell. The adidas logo is always reflected in its corporate colours although its position changes around the image sometimes.

Style- The reason why I believe that Adidas originals have decided to use natural colours within their Adidas Originals campaign, this connotes to me urban fashion. The reason in why this connotes urban fashion to me is because urban fashion is quite a natural look for people that is casual to them

2- Mode Fabriek

Purpose- I have come to understand that MODEFABRIEK have used their campaign to advertise their fashion show trade event. This is done to reach a wide audience of people around Amsterdam that are interested in urban fashion.

In the portrait image of the MODEFABRIEK poster you can see that this is also another use for the advertisement of their trade show event. MODEFABRIEK have decided to create a piece of advertisement that stands out to  the audience that will attract the attention of people viewing it straight away.

On this third picture by MODEFABRIEK, I can see they have tried to associate themselves with a corporate colour that people will know and recognise as soon as they see their. This is used to advertise and inform people on the even.

Format- In terms of the format itself this logo for MODEFABRIEK poster it is quite a blank poster with no colour at all on it, I also notice that they've made fonts bold to attract the attention of the viewers of the poster. This is because as soon as you see the poster the big bold writing will get your attention first.

This is a portrait photograph of a model wearing the event dates and times along with the event name on her body. For this they have chosen to continue with the big bold text, probably because it connotes shouting, almost as if they were shouting to advertise the event.

I believe that MODEFABRIEK have chosen to use these colours in the third image to fit as their corporate colours which will be used to recognise the brand. These colour and shapes are arranged in an abstract way that catches viewers attention.

Contents- The contents of this leaflet for the MODEFABRIEK fashion trade event is really blank and contains a great amount of white space around the whole of the poster. You can denote big bold text in a different size font from the other forms of text. This is because it connotes the brand and as soon as you see this you will know right away who the poster is associated with.

The way in which the portrait picture used to advertise the MODEFABRIEK trade event is a black and white picture that contains a lot of white space in order to make its main image stand out more within the picture. You can denote big text across the models body advertising the date of the event, personally I believe this is very creative because it incorporates both art and modelling into one which fits into the theme well because at fashion shows there are primarily models advertising the clothes, and the clothes are also seen as an expression of art for the designers.

Within the third image I can denote colours such as blue an purple, usually ben looking at colours such as blue it would connote peace and calm, where as purple would connote richness. I think it was good that MODEFABRIEK incorporated these colours because they're the exact two colours you would want when associating your brand with.

Layout- For the layout I like how MODEFABRIEK I like how they made sure to centre the model and I like they way in which they have also incorporated the bold san-serif text upon the models face within this photograph.

Target Audience- I believe the target audience for MODEFABRIEK's viewers would preferably be people within the ABC1 category on the demographic scale. This is because they seem to be more of a upper class urban fashion trade show, The reason in which I know this is because they have more of an upper class look to them in how they present themselves.

Regulatory Bodies- MODEFABRIEK have made sure not to cross any laws when it comes to regulatory bodies because they have been really wise when it comes to how they present their live pictures that incorporate a model. They have made sure not to show any nudity to offend people or any explicit language to offend people.

Purpose- The purpose for the London EDGE poster is to advertise the London EDGE fashion trade show. This organisation are trying to make sure that people around London are aware of the urban fashion show within central London. The other two posters are used to promote the fashion trade, I know this due to the date that has been placed on the poster and the digital graphics used to capture the attention of the viewers.

Format- This is a very colourful poster that is designed to catch the attention of the viewers. I believe they have incorporated complimentary colours in order to make certain things within this poster stand out more along side each other.

Also you can see they've incorporated a rough font style for the title. I believe this was because it would attract to their target audience a lot more than having a serif font style for the urban style.

Contents- I can denote bright vibrant colours with san-serif text along with illustrated characters wearing fashionable clothes. Also I see some social media suggestions along with a slogan.

Style- The connotation I get when looking at this image is that it is promoting fashion. The reason I know this is due to what the illustrated characters are wearing and the type of text that has been written down for the poster. I also believe the reason why they have created a slogan on this poster is because it will hopefully capture the attention of the target audience and stay in their head.

Layout- I believe that they have decided to centre and also put the text to the side of the graphic because they want to draw in your attention using the vibrant colours and illustrations.

Target Audience- I believe the target audience for EDGE are young people between the age range of 18-24 this is because this style of fashion I would say best suits them in terms of what the modern day young adult would wear this modern day. Another reason why I believe that this fashion show poster is for a younger audience is due to the colours used within the picture, these are bright commonly associated with a younger audience because they seem to like them more in comparison to an older audience that would want more of a professional and simple look to things.

Regulatory Bodies-

They way in which this poster by  London EDGE follows the law of regulatory bodies is by making sure that their central characters are not wearing clothing seen as too provocative for viewers to see. I believe that have managed to follow this through although the third pictures central character could be seen as provocative to some people.

Purpose- The purpose for all these converse advertisement champagnes are to promote their products towards their target audience in order to make sales.

Format- When looking at the format of the converse advertisements you can see for the first one they have chosen to use quite a lot of splashed paint colours to denote their brand to people.

Although on the second digital graphic converse have developed for advertisement they have managed to use a various amount of words to develop another means of promoting their product. This is done by using the chosen words to create the shape of a converse shoe to denote their brand.

Content- I can denote text that is designed in the form of a shoe with black and white colouring on it with a red seal around the toe, mid soul and heel of the shoe. I can also denote a few slogans in on these posters.

Style- On this poster I can connote a black and white converse shoe on the first poster and on the second poster I can denote a converse shoe created entirely out of text in Italian.

Layout- I believe the reason why they have chosen to centre the main digital graphic is because they want to capture your attention straight away so you know exactly what they're promoting to their target audience.

Target Audience- The target audience for people who wear converse are preferably people between the ages of 13 and 24, the reason for this is because it is a casual everyday shoe that you can wear for any occasion within your everyday life.

Regulatory bodies-  The main regulatory body that the graphics design team at converse would have to focus on is making sure that their poster doesn't have any offensive language on it at all.
